Public Safety ERRCS Install Labor

Install crews for your public safety radio systems.

You design the system. We pull the cable, hang the antennas and sweep test the runs, built to your design. Nationwide service.

What we install

ERRCS install labor, built to the integrator's design. You supply the material, headend and donor antenna. Our crews put it in.

Coax & fiber runs

We pull distribution cable along the routes on your design.

Terminations

We terminate with the vendor connectors you specify.

Splitters & antennas

We hang splitters and indoor antennas where the design puts them.

RF sweep testing

We sweep test the cable runs and send you the results.

Supports & cable management

We install supports and clean, code-compliant cable management. Sleeves are installed by the electrical contractor.

Structured cabling

We do structured cabling nationwide, mainly on hotels and multifamily. One low-voltage sub can handle both scopes.

RF design, cellular DAS, system commissioning and monitoring are handled by the integrator or our integrator partners. They are not part of our scope.

How we work with integrators

We work as your field crew. You own the design and the system, and we keep the install on schedule.

  1. Send the design. Share plans, the bill of materials and the schedule. We confirm scope and crew size.
  2. Material arrives. You ship the cable, connectors, splitters, antennas, headend and donor antenna to site.
  3. We install. We pull, terminate, mount and dress cable to your design and code. We coordinate with the GC on site.
  4. Sweep & hand off. We send sweep and test results and close out the punch list. Then your team commissions and tests the system.

Sweep & test results

We test what we install and document it, so the integrator has what it needs for AHJ and fire marshal acceptance.

RF sweep

Sweep testing of coax runs, splitters and antennas to verify the installed distribution system.

Signal strength & coverage testing

Signal strength readings and coverage walks across the building, including critical areas, per the design and AHJ requirements.

Acceptance documentation

Organized test reports and records to support AHJ and fire marshal acceptance.

Why it matters

Under IFC Section 510 and NFPA 1225, as your jurisdiction adopts them, many buildings need a signal booster so firefighters' radios work inside. Usually the system has to pass an acceptance test before the building gets its certificate of occupancy.

For GCs & owners

This applies to hotels, multifamily, data centers and mixed-use buildings. Bring the ERRCS install in early so it doesn't hold up occupancy.

Coverage targets

Codes typically require coverage across most of the building, with stricter targets in stairs, elevator lobbies and fire pump rooms. Your AHJ sets the details.

Coordinate early

Plan rated pathways and fire alarm tie-ins with the other trades before the walls close.
